my day book

OUTSIDE MY WINDOW...

sunny, with a wonderful cool breeze

I AM THINKING...

how my life is ruled by fur...

I AM THANKFUL FOR...

the ability to take care of fur~

FROM THE KITCHEN...

the fridge is bulging, i need to get in there and make scads of meals, so far i have nothing in mind... but i will!

I AM WEARING...

brown and white sundress

I AM CREATING...

nothing right now, have to many irons in the fire kinda thing...

I AM GOING...

to be busy this week... oy, sick 3 legged kitten and new puppy on thursday if all goes well~

I AM READING...

been reading peony in love for a week, which is rare for me, i read like 10 pages and fall asleep... i am used to finishing a book every 2-3 days. i didn't like the first section so i may have procrastinated, but now i love it and crave the time to sit and finish it..

I AM HOPING...

we can adjust to a household of new animals with minimal stress and financial disasters...

I AM HEARING...

the view...

AROUND THE HOUSE...

today is bills and errands

ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...

fur~

A FEW PLANS FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK...

busy week tending to the new kitten with a broken leg. they could not set the bone, due to the break location, he is to be confined in a crate for a month... that means i do everything for it for, every coupe of hours... to make it worse i have a 12 week old puppy to pick up on thursday, i will be very busy with animal daycare for the months to come because i have a second puppy coming in 2 weeks... i think the garden will suffer this year as i get the 4 new family members in order, no time for 10 hour garden days!

PICTURE THOUGHT...

today i had planned to sneak outside early and finish my book this morn before i had errands to run. yes i know, how embarrassing to show you my cocoa puffs, but my first choice was cake, so i thought i made the healthy choice~ i took indy in his deep plush kitty prison, between cats and dogs, no reading accomplished. good news, there is cake for lunch~

*this idea comes from a simple woman's daybook. i enjoy once a week quietly reflecting on my week...

Thank goodness the animal world has such wonderful people like you! I read about your new kitten yesterday, and it warmed my heart. The kitten's eyes... oh my gosh, I could stare into those eyes forever! And your other new furry friend looks to be settling in quite nicely! :) World's happiest dog right now, I bet!

I would have a house full of rescued dogs and cats if we had more land. One day...

Jain, I must have missed something. I knew about the two new dogs, but not the third one. You are going to be busy.

Indy is adorable. I can't wait to see pictures of the kitten and puppies all curled up together.

Maggie is beautiful! And Indie is adorable! He looks like he is so sleepy he can hardly keep his eyes open. When you get them all there & well you will have a lot of running & playing going on. I can only imagine the fur. I have one Sheltie & she sheds her fool head off... but, 4 of them... YIKES! Enjoy your new babies.

I got all my iris planted. I sent you an email but, didn't hear back from you. Thank you for the bonus plants you sent. Hugs.

I am also on my way to rescue 2 adorable 10 year old dogs, brother and sister. They have been locked up in a cage in a basement. I also rescue cats and kittens. Your life sounds like ours. So tonight I will have 6 dogs, 2 cats, and all will be well.
Thank you for taking care of Indy. She looks like a bundle of love. i also LOVE FUR.
Love Claudie

Looks like Maggie wanted to share the coco puffs! How's Maggie doing with the kitties? Are they intimidating her? Whooo hoooo - Cassie comes home this week & sounds like Jasper is coming in 2 weeks??? Way to go Jain! I'd help you if I lived closer! ☺ Diane

There's a special place in Animal Heaven for you and angels like you! I hate to think what would have happened to that sweet kitten if you hadn't been along.

i took indy in his deep plush kitty prison,... I'm sure he is beyond grateful for that kitty prison. He is SOOOO cute. And I see the pup is eyeing the puffs, too!
